1. Purpose
Genie Card uses artificial intelligence to power conversational agents on digital business cards. This notice explains how AI is used, its limitations, and your choices.
2. You are interacting with AI
When you chat on a Genie Card-powered business card, you are communicating with an AI assistant, not a human employee, unless the business explicitly states otherwise.
The AI represents the business that owns the card (the "tenant") and responds based on:
- Instructions configured by that business
- Information from their knowledge base (if enabled)
- General language capabilities of Google Gemini models via Google Cloud Vertex AI
3. What data is sent to AI models
To generate responses, the system may send:
- Your messages and conversation history
- Card and business context (name, services, configured instructions)
- Relevant knowledge-base excerpts retrieved by search tools
- Tool results (e.g., CRM lookups configured by the tenant)
GenieCard does not use tenant customer chat content to train public foundation models unless explicitly agreed in a separate enterprise agreement.
4. Limitations and accuracy
AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated. They are not:
- Legal, medical, financial, or professional advice
- Binding offers or contracts unless confirmed by the business
- Guaranteed to reflect the business's current policies or pricing
Always verify important information directly with the business.
5. Automated processing
The platform may automatically:
- Summarize conversations
- Extract contact details into CRM records
- Label or score leads based on conversation content
Tenants configure these features. Significant decisions affecting individuals should include human review where required by law.
6. Voice and live chat
Live voice modes use real-time AI audio models. Audio may be processed transiently for response generation. Retention depends on tenant settings and session logging configuration.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding automated processing. Contact the business whose card you used, or submit a Privacy Request.
8. For tenant administrators
You are responsible for configuring agents appropriately, providing required disclosures to your end users, and reviewing high-risk use cases (legal intake, health, credit, employment). See our Acceptable Use Policy.
